Terms & Conditions
Travel Booking Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement constitute the entire understanding and agreement between you and The Travel Agent Next Door operating as Holly Eely and/or Candace Zavacky (collectively referred to as “The Travel Agent Next Door”) with respect to any and all bookings, tours or transactions made with The Travel Agent Next Door.
By providing your credit card, signing, or electronically accepting a booking, you accept all of the terms in this Agreement and direct us to perform services on your behalf. All persons named in your booking are subject to this Agreement and you affirm that you have made all other participants listed in the booking aware of these terms – regardless of how final payment is made – and that all participants accept these terms.
Deposits and Payment: A deposit (the “Deposit”) may be required at the time of booking and is non-refundable, unless otherwise specified. By providing your credit card information to The Travel Agent Next Door to pay for travel services, you are confirming that you will pay the total amount charged according to your cardholder agreement. In addition, you agree not to chargeback your payment. Should you initiate a chargeback for any reason, be advised that legal steps will be taken to recoup any financial losses at double the value of the chargeback.
It's important to ensure that your payment method is valid and has sufficient funds to cover the transaction before the final due date of your travels to avoid any potential issues or cancellations. Extensions of final payment are not always available and non-payment could result in the loss of any deposit already paid plus full cancellation of the reservation. Should an extension be available, a $100 extension fee will be added to the amount owing. Should an extension not be available and the funds not received on the due date, the trip will auto cancel at full penalty and will not be able to be reinstated.
Should a payment be insufficient or denied/rejected for any reason a $25 re-processing fee will be charged in addition to the amount owing.
Cancellations and Refunds: To cancel your booking, you must submit your request to us in writing by email to your booking Agent (Holly - heely@thetravelagentnextdoor.com / Candace - czavacky@thetravelagentnextdoor.com) and complete a cancellation form. Cancellation fees may apply and your reservation will not be cancelled until such fees are paid in full. If at time of final payment you are unreachable by email or phone and/or the credit card on file is declined or does not work, your reservation will automatically be cancelled with full penalty, which may be non-refundable, and your reservation will not be reinstated. No refund will be made for unused travel services or any unused portion of the services. Any changes to your booking are also subject to the terms and conditions of the tour operator, airline, cruise line, hotel or other supplier.
Changes to Bookings: If you change your travel dates or alter your itinerary after we confirm your trip, a change fee may apply. The type and scope of change dictates the amount of the change fee charged by the supplier and The Travel Agent Next Door.
The Travel Agent Next Door Change and Cancellation Fees: Should you cancel or change your booking prior to departure a minimum fee of of $50-$125 per person may be due immediately at time of change or cancellation through The Travel Agent Next Door and will be charged to the credit card on file. This fee shall be in additional to any fees charged by the supplier and will be advised to you at the time of booking.
Trip Cancellation: You acknowledge that the amenities, accommodations, transportation, route, schedule, and itinerary of a trip may change without prior notice due to local circumstances or events, which may include mechanical breakdown, flight cancellations, illness, strikes, political disputes, weather, border crossing problems, and other unforeseeable factors. In the event of a change of schedule, we will notify you of available alternatives as soon as reasonably possible.
Accuracy Of Information: The Travel Agent Next Door makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained herein and to the best of its knowledge, all information is accurate at the time of publication and/or booking. We try to ensure that the prices on this website are accurate, however, errors do occur and we reserve the right to refuse to accept and/or the right to cancel and refund any bookings, purchased at any price posted in error. Updates are published on our website when new information is made available, however, The Travel Agent Next Door cannot be responsible for any inaccuracies or omissions contained herein or for any third party publications or postings. Information contained herein is provided as a guideline only and should be verified directly with other available sources. The Travel Agent Next Door reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions at any time, and any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately upon being posted on our website.
Responsibility: The Travel Agent Next Door acts only as an intermediary for the various independent suppliers that provide lodging, meals, transportation, sightseeing, activities, insurance or other goods and services connected with your trip. You acknowledge that you are aware and clearly understand that these suppliers are independent contractors, are not managed by The Travel Agent Next Door and are not agents or employees of The Travel Agent Next Door. A supplier’s services are subject to the supplier’s own terms and conditions and the local laws and regulations of the relevant country.
Force Majeure: The Travel Agent Next Door will not be deemed in breach of this Agreement or otherwise liable to you, by reason of delay in performance or nonperformance of any of its obligations under this Agreement to the extent that any such delay or nonperformance is due to any Force Majeure. “Force Majeure” means any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of The Travel Agent Next Door, including without limitation acts of God, terrorist activities, insurrection, explosion, flood, tempest, forceful wind, fire or accident, war or threat of war declared or undeclared, sabotage, civil disturbance, labor strikes, requisition, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions, and unforeseen circumstances.
If The Travel Agent Next Door and/or any of its suppliers are affected by Force Majeure, The Travel Agent Next Door shall be entitled to, and may in its sole discretion, vary or cancel any itinerary or arrangement in relation to the trip.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance, covering trip interruption and cancellation, baggage, medical, accident/life, evacuation, repatriation and other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience occurring to you. Insurance must be purchased for the entire duration of your trip; from the time you leave your home up until the time your return back to your home. If you do not fully insure your trip you may not be covered. All insurance claims are handled by the insurance provider and The Travel Agent Next Door has no say in the decision to accept or reject a claim.
Note: Some suppliers have specific terms & conditions that will only be covered with travel insurance. For example (but not limited to) suppliers will only cover the air portion of your trip should they cancel (for any reason), this means that the land portion of the package would be non-refundable and would need to be claimed under your travel insurance. Another example might be a cruiseline where the flights are purchased as part of your travel package and you are scheduled to arrive the day of embarkation. If your flight is missed, delayed or cancelled and you cannot make it to your port of call it will be at your cost to make it to the next port and you will be at a loss of days not sailed (in some situations embarkation cannot take place at the next port of call due to country rules and you could miss multiple days of your trip). Insurance options and quotes can be found on my website using the "insurance tab" located in the center or contact Manulife at 1-888-220-5212 and provide Agency Code: G71321 / Agent hollye. For guests in the US please contact your Travel Agent for a quote.
*Insurance will not cover anything pre-existing or known.
Pre-Departure Documentation: It is important that you carefully read all trip-related documents that you receive from us as soon as you receive them.
